We stock the finest selection of grains for homebrewing. Grain is a food product and just like bread, it needs to be fresh. At The Home Brewery, we keep all our brewing grains fresh and in great condition for our beer, and for yours. 

Free Crushing of Grains on Request
We don’t keep crushed grains on hand. Grain is crushed for each individual order. If you want your grain crushed, be sure and tell us. Otherwise, we will ship it uncrushed. If you are going to store grain, it is better to order it uncrushed and crush it for each beer just before brewing. If you are going to use it right away, it’s O.K. to have us crush it. If you are an all-grain brewer, you really should think about getting a grain mill so your grain can be freshly crushed just before each brew. It makes a difference!

K-9c Light Crystal Malt (10 lv.) This Light Crystal malt will lend body and mouth feel with a minimum of color, much like Carapils, but with a light caramel sweetness.
K-10 Light Crystal Malt (20 lv.) Adds body, sweetness, some copper color, and head retention.
K-9b Light Crystal Malt (30 lv.)  
K-9a Medium Crystal Malt (60 lv.) Same properties as Light Crystal, but the darker color adds more color and flavor.
K-9 Dark Crystal Malt (90 lv.) Adds much more color and flavor. Use for dark beers.
K-10a Cara-Pils (Dexrine) Malt Adds malty character and body to many beers. The color is light.
K-12 Roasted Barley Dark brown roast. Adds distinctive roasted flavor and bitterness to Stouts.
K-13 Victory (Biscuit) Malt A toasted Malted Barley. Light in color, adds rich toasted flavor to beer.
K-14 Special Roast Adds distinctive red color and malty flavor to beers such as Pale Ales and Bocks.
K-55 Aromatic Aromatic Malt lends a distinct, almost exaggerated malt aroma and flavor
K-59 Belgian Special B This very dark crystal is unique to the Belgians. It has a very highly caramelized and nutty flavor.
K-15 Black Patent Malt Very black. Adds dark color and dry burnt flavor to Porters, Stouts, and other styles.
