Brewer's Yeasts
We stock a great variety of yeasts, order them
fresh, and keep them refrigerated until sold. The use of a good
quality yeast of the proper variety is very important. With dried
yeast, always use at least 12 grams in a five gallon batch of
beer or wine. This works out to one large pack or two small
packs. You cant pitch too much yeast. Using more makes
fermentation start quicker.

Starter Pack
This is a mixture of Hopped Dry Malt Extract and
Yeast Energizer for starting a yeast culture before
brewing.Mix the contents with
water and bring it to a boil. Cool the mixture, then put
it in a bottle with an airlock and stopper and pitch your
yeast. After active fermentation starts, pitch the
culture into the beer. One pack will yield a S.G. of
about 1.060 in 16 oz. of water.

100% Pure Wyeast Liquid Yeast
Cultures
All Wyeast cultures include liquid yeast and nutrient
in a double foil bag. About 48 hours before pitching, break the
inner bag to start the yeast. Wyeast yeasts can be
pitched into a yeast starter or directly into the beer. If
pitched directly into the beer, it will be about 36 hours before
fermentation activity is seen. For this reason, we recommend
making a starter with our L-99 Yeast Starter Pack.
All Wyeast Liquid Yeast Cultures $5.95 Each
New: Catalog numbers in italics can also be purchased in new Wyeast "XL"
175 ml Packs or in Wyeast Pitchable Tubes for $7.95.
"XL" Packs contain so much yeast almost no waiting is needed. Pop these three hours before pitching, then pitch the yeast straight
in.
Pitchable Tubes are comparable in size to the XL packs but they are ready to pitch with out any
waiting at all.
