Organic Pest Control and Insecticides

We've just gotten started on this section.  We'll have more items up as spring approaches.

Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) - A beneficial bacteria that attacks the digestive system of certain insect larvae, particularly caterpillars. Will not harm beneficial insects.
Rotenone and Pyrethrins - Nonselective natural insecticides.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE) - Fossil remains of microscopic sea organisms. A natural, nonselective insecticide. 
Organic Animal Repellents - Help discourage destructive animals from entering your lawn or garden.
Fungicides and other Insect Control Products - Tobacco dust, insecticidal soaps, and other products.
Organic Herbicides -  20% vinegar solution and related products.
Insect and Animal Traps - Coming soon. 
Beneficials -  Ladybird beetles, mantids, nematodes, and other helpful organisms.

While derived from natural sources, even organic pest control products can be harmful to humans and other animals if not used properly. Read and observe all instructions and cautionary information on product label before use.
