Honda Harmony
Mowers
A superior mulching mower from a
company that's committed to innovation.
When Honda set out to make a mulching
mower, the engineers at Honda's Marysville,
Ohio research facility took a unique approach. With
mulching destined to become the most ecologically sound
means of grass clipping disposal, Honda wanted to ensure
that conventional thinking didn't get in the way of design
integrity. Unlike other manufacturers who try to alter
their existing mowers, Honda designed their
new mulching mower from the ground up.
The goal was a mulching mower that is easy
to operate, affordable and efficient. The result is the Honda Harmony™
mulching mower.
In harmony with the environment.
Just what is mulching? Mulching means cutting blades of grass into
fine clippings which readily decompose. Many cities and
counties throughout the U.S have in place, or will be passing,
laws which restrict the disposal of grass clippings. With mulching
there are no grass clippings to dispose of. It's convenient and
time saving. Also, with mulching, valuable nutrients are returned to the soil.
Using the right mulching mower can help make your
lawn healthy and beautiful with no clippings to bag.
A mower with a distinct difference.
The Honda Harmony uses an exclusive, twin-blade
cutting system that cuts grass into fine particles.
The results are clippings that are smaller than
any other mulching mower's.
Honda's exclusive twin-blade system places our
cutting surfaces in a unique configuration. With
this design, grass is cut initially into multiple
pieces, then circulates throughout the deck,
where each blade is cut over and over into ultra-fine particles.
It's a six-step process that only the Honda Harmony can perform.
The Honda Harmony's cutting deck is another
Honda exclusive. The Harmony's deck was designed specifically for
the unique demands required to make a mulching mower perform
properly. It's made from Xenoy® resin, a durable material developed by
General Electric. Xenoy makes a deck that is tough, resilient and easy
to clean. It's non-corrosive and rust-proof, so it will last for years. It's truly a
superior material for a mower deck.
When Xenoy resin is
molded into shape, it provides a smooth inner
surface, so clippings circulate naturally in an
efficient pattern through the housing for the maximum
number of cuts. The deck was also designed to prevent grass buildup by discharging clippings forward where they are picked up and
cut again.
With smaller clippings and even, unobstructed
air flow there's no clumping as with other mowers,
so you have a cleaner, well manicured lawn.
The combination of Harmony's revolutionary
deck design and twin-blade system offers superior mulching performance.
A Harmony Built For You
Whatever your mowing needs may be, there's
a Harmony waiting for you. Honda
Harmony mowers feature Honda's 5.5 hp OHV, OHC engine,
incredibly durable Xenoy deck and operator friendly controls.
Harmonys come in three different models to
suit your particular needs. Choose from the self-propelled zone start
model, or one of two self-propelled models with a BBC. The BBC models stop
the mower blades after the engagement handles are
released without stopping the engine.
For the ultimate in operational
ease, the Harmony HRB216HXA offers a
hydrostatic drive transmission. This exclusive Honda
feature allows infinitely variable speed control to match
your desired mowing speed. Honda's reputation for reliability and low maintenance
self-propelled mowers has long been recognized by
leading consumer publications.
And remember, whichever
model you choose, the Honda Harmony can mulch, bag or side discharge* to
give you true versatility and a great looking lawn.
A mulching mower in harmony with you.
The Honda Harmony was designed with your
comfort and convenience in mind. Controls are
easy to reach, and it's lightweight and easy to
maneuver. The Blade Brake Clutch is a convenient
system which, when you release the controls,
stops the blades from turning while the engine
continues to run. And the Harmony mower features a fuel shut off to
prevent accidental fuel leakage during storage or periods when the
mower is not in use. Every Harmony mulching
mower is manufactured to the rigorous standards
in Honda's state-of-the-art facility in Swepsonville,
North Carolina. And each features a proven, easy-
starting, durable, Honda Overhead Valve
Commercial Engine. The Honda Harmony.
It makes mowing easier on you and the
environment.
