Honda Masters mowers incorporate the technology of Honda's legendary overhead valve, commercial grade engines. Honda engines are designed to be environmentally friendly. They use less gas and oil than comparably sized side valve engines. In fact, Honda was the first engine manufacturer to meet the new emission standards set by the California Air Resources Board. And like all Honda engines, the engines designed for the Masters series are easy starting, reliable and quiet. All models feature an automatic fuel shut-off for safety. And our electric start model features on-board charging for sure starts every time.

Honda combines the power of overhead valve engines with the ease and convenience of hydrostatic drive. This technology provides infinitely variable speed control to let you adjust to different terrain, mowing conditions and walking pace. Honda is the only mower manufacturer in the world to offer this feature on a 21" walk-behind mower. Plus, all Honda Masters walk-behind mower have direct drive shaft. There are no belts to wear out or replace. It allows the engine to continue running while stopping the blade from turning. So when you need to discontinue mowing temporarily, you don't have to stop the engine to stop the blade.

Honda Masters mowers come standard with a rear grass bag. Optional kits are offered which allow you to convert your mower to a twin-blade mulcher or side-discharge mower.
